With the vehicle on the ground, unscrew the central nut securing the wheel hub.
Raise the car evenly from the front so that the stabilizer is not under tension. Support the car.
Remove the wheel.
Unscrew the anti-roll bar support bushings on the right and on the body. Remove the brake caliper and hang it on a wire to the body: the brake pipe remains connected.
Remove the clamp bolt for the suspension joint at the bottom of the shock absorber.
Press out the steering rod joint.
Using a lever (mounting blade) pull the suspension arm pin out of the shock absorber strut. The strut and the suspension arm will separate.
Using a puller, press the drive shaft out of the wheel hub as described above
Remove the stabilizer from the shock absorber strut.
Remove the protective cap from the top of the strut in the engine compartment.
Remove the three nuts on the top of the shock absorber strut. The strut must be supported from below.
Pull the rack down and at the same time pull it away from the drive shaft.
For installation use new self-locking nuts and a new control arm clamp bolt
When installing the drive shaft, follow the instructions in the relevant paragraph.
Tightening torques:
- nuts on the top of the shock absorber strut - 30 Nm
- steering rod nut - 60 Nm
- suspension arm clamp bolt - 65 Nm
- stabilizer on suspension arm - 110 Nm
If the same shock absorber strut is installed, there is no need to adjust the wheel alignment angles.
Removing the front shock absorber, stage two: loosen the nut (5) of the piston rod to remove the bearing (2) of the shock absorber strut, after unscrewing the nuts of its fastening (4). After pulling the buffer (bump stop) off the piston rod of the shock absorber (3), you can unscrew the special nut to remove the cartridge of the shock absorber.
