With the car on the ground, unscrew the central nut securing the wheel hub.
Raise the front of the car evenly so that the stabilizer is not in tension. Support the car.
Remove wheel.
Unscrew the bushings for the anti-roll bar on the right and on the body. Remove the brake caliper and hang it on a wire to the body: the brake pipe remains connected.
Remove the clamping bolt for the suspension joint at the bottom of the suspension strut.
Press out the tie rod joint.
With a lever (mounting blade) pull the suspension arm pin out of the suspension strut. The strut and control arm will then disengage.
Using a puller, press the drive shaft out of the wheel hub as described above
Remove stabilizer from suspension strut.
Remove the protective cap on the top of the rack in the engine compartment.
Remove the three nuts on the top of the suspension strut. In this case, the rack must be supported at the bottom.
Pull the strut down and at the same time pull it away from the drive shaft.
For installation, use new self-locking nuts and a new suspension arm clamping bolt
When installing the drive shaft, follow the instructions in the relevant paragraph.
Tightening torques:
- nuts on the top of the suspension strut - 30 Nm
- tie rod nut - 60 Nm
- clamping bolt on the suspension arm - 65 Nm
- stabilizer on the suspension arm - 110 Nm
If the same suspension strut is installed, there is no need to adjust the wheel alignment.
Removing the front shock absorber, second step: loosen the nut (5) piston rod to remove the bearing (2) suspension strut, after unscrewing the nuts of its fastening (4). After shrinking the buffer (fender) from shock absorber piston rod (3), you can unscrew the special nut to remove the shock absorber cartridge.
