On these vehicles, the control arm is called a trapezoidal control arm. It is connected to the wheel bearing housing and to two separate cross members. Always use new self-locking nuts.
Raise and securely support the vehicle under the frame and differential.
Remove the wheel. Remove the nuts, bolts of the speed sensor wire bracket and guide along the trapezoidal lever.
Remove the front and rear bolts securing the wheel bearing housing to the wheel arm.
Remove the bolt securing the trapezoidal arm to the lower cross member.
At the brake pressure regulator, disconnect the spring.
Remove the nut securing the trapezoidal arm to the front cross member and the trapezoidal arm itself from the vehicle.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Tighten:
- the nut for fastening the trapezoidal lever to the cross beam with a torque of 10 Nm
- trapezoidal lever mounting bolt trapezoidal lever to rear cross beam torque 85 Nm
- bolts for fastening the trapezoidal lever to the wheel bearing housing - torque 169 Nm
- the speed sensor guide nut/bolts with a torque of 10 Nm.
Check and adjust the rear wheel alignment angles.
Caution: Before installing the trapezoidal lever, make sure that the threads on the fasteners are lubricated with sealant.
