Rear suspension components. Front-wheel drive models
Warning: If there is damage to the hydraulic rubber-metal support –13–, it is necessary to replace the beam –14– as a set (work of the service station).

- 1 - brake disc
- 2 - twelve-sided flange nut, 175 Nm. Self-locking, must be replaced.
- 3 - cap. Be sure to replace. Starting with 4/97 release, the caps are coated with a sealant varnish of green color. Earlier caps should be inserted with a sealant.
- 4 - Phillips head screw, 4 Nm
- 5 - wheel mounting bolt, 120 Nm
- 6 - hub with wheel bearing
- 7 - bolt, 60 Nm
- 8 - trunnion
- 9 - bolt. Be sure to replace.
- 10 - bolt, 30 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn). Be sure to replace it.
- 11 - support. When removing the rear suspension, do not unscrew it if possible. If the support was disconnected, it is necessary to adjust the camber.
- 12 - nut, 80 Nm. Be sure to replace. Load the car trunk with 100 kg and tighten the nut with the car standing on its wheels.
- 13 - rubber-metal support or hydraulic rubber-metal support
- 14 - suspension beam
- 15 - upper rubber support ring
- 16 - coil spring
- 17 - zinc gasket
- 18 - bolt, 60 Nm. Be sure to replace.
- 19 - shock absorber
- 20 - bolt, 30 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn). Be sure to replace it.
- 21 - Allen screw, 8 Nm
- 22 - ABS sensor
- 23 - nut. Be sure to replace.
- 24 - shield
- 25 - Allen screw, 65 Nm. Be sure to replace.
- 26 - support
The rear suspension consists of two longitudinal levers with a connecting beam. In front of the V-shaped beam there is a stabilizer bar, which reduces the tilt of the car on turns and, thus, stabilizes its position. The rear suspension is connected to the body through rubber-metal supports. The car is cushioned by two coil springs and two shock absorbers. The springs and shock absorbers are located separately, which increases the width of the cargo volume.
The dual ball bearings on the rear wheels require no maintenance or adjustment.
All-wheel drive vehicles have independent rear suspension with double wishbones and longitudinal balance beams.
To transmit torque, a cardan shaft, main gear and two drive shafts are installed.
Measuring the geometry of the rear suspension is only possible using optical methods.
Warning: Welding and straightening work on the load-bearing and guide elements of the rear suspension is not permitted. Self-locking nuts, as well as bolts/nuts with traces of corrosion must be replaced.
