The rear suspension of the AUDI 80/90 with front-wheel drive consists of an L-shaped profile with a torsion tube welded inside. The torsion tube serves as a stabilizer and reduces the roll of the car when turning. A longitudinal lever is welded to each side of the U-shaped profile, which serves as a support for the brake drive. The longitudinal levers are fixed to the body via silent blocks. An additional crossbar is attached to the body and the suspension body, serves as a lateral support for the rear suspension. The shock absorption of the rear suspension is carried out through two shock absorber struts.

Attention: Welding and straightening work on the suspension body is not allowed.
