The throttle position adjuster (1) can be removed separately. This is necessary if the idle speed switch actuator (2) is faulty. Position (3) indicates the throttle stop bolt.
The throttle potentiometer is installed and adjusted at the factory and cannot be disassembled. We have removed it to show you the sliding contacts (4) and the conductive tracks (5). If faulty, the mixture preparation unit must be replaced.

The control unit itself cannot be checked by "home" means. But from practice it is known that malfunctions here occur very rarely. Much more often sensors, switches and cable connections give reason for complaints. We suggest the following procedure:
Make sure the ignition is OK.
Check fuel supply.
Conduct a visual inspection of the injection system components.
If the fault is not found in this way, look at the fault list at the end of the chapter and have the fault memory checked by a workshop.
Hint: If the injection system fails completely, first check fuses #14, 17 and 19, as well as the fuse in the red holder in the electronics unit. All power for the Mono-Motronic injection system passes through them (Chapter "Body Electrical System").
