Instructions: After installing the camshaft, the engine must not be started for approximately 30 minutes. The hydraulic tappets must be settled (otherwise the valves will touch the pistons). After working on the valve mechanism, turn the engine by hand at least 2 revolutions to make sure that no valve is in contact with the piston. Gaskets and seals must be replaced. All seating and working surfaces must be lubricated before installation.
1. 20 Nm + turn 90°, replace, follow the sequence when loosening and tightening
2. Balancer axis, observe the sequence when loosening and tightening
3. Cylinder head mounting bolt. Replace, observe the sequence when loosening and tightening, install washers in the cylinder head before installation
4. Washer for cylinder head mounting bolts
5. Hydraulic tappet, check. Do not swap (when removing, mark), place with the working surface down, before installation check the axial displacement of the camshaft, lubricate the working surface with oil
6. Valve crackers
7. Valve spring plate
S. Outer valve spring, remove and install with cylinder head removed using valve spring compressor "20379"
9. Inner valve spring, remove and install with the cylinder head removed using the valve spring compressor "203710"
10. Oil seal, replacement
11. Valve guide bushing, check
12. Pump injector
13. Cylinder head
14. Cuff, replacement
15. Valves are not subject to inspection and processing; only lapping is permitted
16. Bearing insert, observe the installation position. Do not interchange previously used bearing inserts (when removing, mark), ensure that the retaining tabs in the bearing and cylinder head caps are seated correctly
17. Camshaft, measure radial runout using Piastigage measuring strips, radial runout tolerance limit: 0.08 mm, runout: max. 0.01 mm, check axial offset
18. Bearing cover (bearing cover 4 is designated as bearing cover "5"), seal covers 1 and 4 with sealant
19. 8 Nm + tighten by 1/4 turn, replace
