There are two options for the frequency of maintenance (M) - depending on operating conditions ("LongLife Service", flexible maintenance schedule) or mileage-time schedule (strict maintenance schedule).
The need for maintenance is reminded by a message displayed on the central display of the instrument cluster (see Section 16 Chapters "Controls and operating techniques").
When working a flexible schedule, it is mandatory to use only the appropriate engine oil (see Specifications), otherwise, you should follow the strict maintenance schedule (see below). Maintenance frequency (service interval) is set depending on the vehicle's operating characteristics, but not less frequently than the intervals specified below:
- for petrol models - 50,000 km or 2 years;
- for 4-cylinder diesel models with VIN up to 8EZ5A 400,000 - 50,000 km or 2 years;
- for 4-cylinder diesel models with VIN from 8EZ5A 400 001 -30 000 km or 2 years;
- for 6-cylinder diesel models with VIN up to 8EZ5A 400,000 -35,000 km or 2 years;
- for 6-cylinder diesel models with VIN from 8EZ5A 400 001 -30 000 km or 2 years.
When servicing a car according to a strict schedule, the oil maintenance frequency is every 15,000 km, or every year.
