- place the car on a horizontal surface;
- replace damaged diffusers and mirrors, as well as blackened incandescent lamps;
- check and adjust tire pressure if necessary;
- create a 75 kg load on the driver's seat;
- make sure the spare tire and tool kit are in place;
- fill the fuel tank to at least 90%, or place the missing load in the luggage compartment: with the tank filled to 1/4, 1/2 or 3/4, load a load weighing 52, 35 or 17 kg, respectively,;
- check the correct installation of the headlights relative to the hood (gaps);
- press several times on each corner of the car to set the shock absorbers to their working position;
- on models with manual headlight range adjustment, turn the control to position 0;
- on models with automatic headlight leveling, use diagnostic equipment to reset the headlights to their base position;
- set the adjustment device along the longitudinal axis of the car parallel to the plane on which the car is parked. To adjust the headlights, set the device at a distance of 30 cm from them, and to adjust the fog lights - at a distance of 20 cm. The adjustment value (in %) is indicated at the top of the headlight.
2. The headlight tilt adjustment is made using screws (1 and 2 in the illustration), for lateral adjustment, only the screw (2) is used.
