When adjusting the headlights, the fog lights are also adjusted.
Screws are used to adjust the headlights (see fig. 14.50).
Inner screw 1 (pic. 14.50) designed to adjust the headlights in the vertical plane, and the outer screw 2 to adjust in the horizontal plane.
When adjusting the headlights, the following conditions must be met:
- tire pressure should be within normal limits;
- only the driver should be in the car;
- the fuel in the fuel tank must be more than 90%;
- The vehicle must be parked on wheels on a flat, level surface
- before adjusting, it is necessary to shake the car body so that all suspension elements fall into place;
- set the headlight range control to position 0;
- adjustment is made only low beam headlights. The slope of the luminous flux of the headlights is 10 cm at a distance of 10 m, i.e. 1%;
- the fog light beam slope is 20 cm at a distance of 10 m.
If necessary, the headlights can be adjusted independently. The headlights are adjusted with the dipped beam on at night. Install the car on a flat horizontal surface so that the front of the car is 5 m away from a vertical wall or screen, and adjust the headlights according to the diagram (see fig. 14.51).
