If the inscription appears on the indicator of the daily mileage counter «dEF», then the error is in the permanent memory, in this case it is necessary to replace the instrument cluster.
The instrument cluster is available in three different versions: «Lowline», «Midline» And «Highline».
Instrument cluster «Lowline» displays Mini-Check-System information and Midline versions» And «Highline» displays more complete information: Auto-Check-System, Servise-Longlife, outside temperature, on-board computer, selector lever position and navigation notifications.
The instrument cluster is controlled by a microprocessor with a self-diagnosis system.
Withdrawal
When removing the instrument cluster, it is not necessary to remove the steering wheel.
Lower the steering wheel all the way down.
Remove the wire «masses» with battery.
Attention
- When the wires are disconnected from the battery terminals, the data on the recorded malfunctions are erased in the memory blocks of the control devices, therefore, before disconnecting the wires, it is necessary to contact the workshop to recall the malfunctions recorded in it. After connecting the wires to the battery terminals, it is necessary to activate and reprogram the power windows, as well as the position of the rear-view mirrors and seats.
- If the car has a radio with a code, then before disconnecting the wires from the terminals from the battery, check that there is a code to reactivate the receiver. Otherwise, it will be possible to put the radio receiver into operation only at a specialized station.
Remove trim 1 (pic. 14.57), located at the base of the instrument cluster by pushing it up.
Unscrew two screws 1 (pic. 14.58) fastenings of a combination of devices, take it forward and from a reverse side disconnect plaits of wires of electric sockets.
Remove the steering wheel.
Disconnect from a combination of devices electric sockets.
Replace incandescent bulbs if possible.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Connect wire «masses» to the battery.
