Removal
Open the trunk lid/tailgate.
Fold back the boot trim where the tail light is located. On the left side of the car, remove the on-board tool.
Press both latches 2 (fig. 14.56) lamp holders towards each other and remove the lamp holder from the lantern.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the lamp holder.
Unscrew the four nuts and remove the tail light (see fig. 14.56).
Installation
Check the condition of the rear light seal and replace it if necessary.
Install the rear light and check that the gaps around the perimeter of the light are the same on all sides and adjust them if necessary. Tighten the rear light mounting nuts to 4 Nm.
Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
