If the vehicle is used in severe conditions, particularly in dusty conditions, with a trailer, at low speeds or for short distances, more frequent maintenance is recommended.
Weekly or every 400 km
You need to check:
- engine oil level;
- coolant level;
- brake fluid level;
- the presence of fluid in the windshield washer reservoir;
- performance of the glow plug indicator lamp (diesel engines);
- the condition of the battery, tires, windshield wipers and all lamps.
Oil change service
Change engine oil. Replace oil filter.
Check the thickness of the front and rear brake pads.
Maintenance every 12 months Inspektions–Service
Change engine oil. Replace oil filter.
Check the exhaust system for security, no leaks or damage.
Inspect the engine for leaks and damage.
Display information from the memory of control units of all systems checked in self-diagnosis mode.
Check the thickness of the front and rear brake pads.
Check that the brake fluid level matches the actual wear of the brake pads.
Inspection check the brake system for leaks and damage.
By inspection, check the gearbox, final drive and protective covers for cardan joints for leaks and damage.
Check the covers of the constant velocity joints for leaks and damage.
Check the electrolyte level in the battery. If necessary, top up with distilled water.
Check the play in the tie rod ends, as well as the reliability of their fastening and the condition of the covers.
Check the remaining tread height and wear pattern on all tires, including the one mounted on the spare wheel. Check and, if necessary, adjust the air pressure in the tires.
Lubricate door locks and mounting pins.
On a diesel engine, drain the water from the fuel filter.
Check coolant level and density.
Check the serviceability of the lighting devices, direction indicators, emergency lights and the trunk light.
Check the interior and glove compartment lighting, as well as the horn and warning lamps.
Visually check the front airbags for external damage.
Check the operation and adjustment of the system of wipers, windshield washers, headlight cleaners and headlight washers (if they are). If necessary, adjust the nozzles and add fluid to the filling tank of the system.
Check and, if necessary, adjust the installation of the brushes in the initial position and the angular position of the wiper arms.
Operations performed in excess of the Inspektions-Service schedule every 30,000 km
Clean the sunroof guides and lubricate them with silicone grease.
Replace pollen filter.
Check the hydraulic fluid level (ATF) in an automatic transmission. Add fluid if necessary.
Check the oil level in the main gear housing of the automatic transmission. Top up gear oil if necessary.
Replace on diesel engine fuel filter.
Check the oil level in the gearbox and final drive housing. If necessary, add oil.
Check and, if necessary, adjust the headlights.
Inspection inspection to check the protective coating of the bottom of the body for damage.
Operations performed in excess of the Inspektions-Service regulations according to the previous lists every 60,000 km
Wash the air filter housing and replace the filter element.
Check the hydraulic fluid level in the power steering booster, top up if necessary.
Operations performed in excess of the Inspektions-Service regulations according to the previous lists every 60,000 km or 3 years
Replace spark plugs.
Operations performed every 60,000 km or 4 years in excess of the Inspektions-Service regulations according to the previous lists
Change the oil in the automatic transmission.
Additional operations performed every 2 years
Change brake fluid.
Wash the air filter housing and replace the filter element (for vehicles with less than 60,000 km mileage within 2 years).
Change coolant (only vehicles with V8 engines).
Additional operations performed every 3 years on top of operations performed every 2 years
Check and adjust the content of harmful substances in the exhaust gases.
Operations performed in excess of the Inspektions-Service schedule every 120,000 km
Replace V-ribbed belt (only vehicles with V8 engines).
Replace toothed belt (only vehicles with V8 engines).
Irregular maintenance can cause poor engine performance. In this case, do the following:
- clean, inspect and test the battery;
- check oil and coolant levels, top up if necessary;
- replace spark plugs (gasoline engines;
- check the condition and tension of the auxiliary drive belt;
- check the condition of the air filter and replace if necessary;
- check the condition of all hoses (branch pipes) and their tightness;
- check the condition of the cover and rotor of the ignition distributor and high-voltage wires (gasoline engines).
If these steps don't work, try the following:
- check the power supply system;
- check the ignition system;
- check the engine preheating system;
- check the power system
- replace the cover and the ignition distributor rotor;
- replace high voltage wires.
