With the engine cold, check the condition of the exhaust system along its entire length.
Check the pipes and their connections for leaks, corrosion and damage. Check that all brackets and suspension elements of the system are in good condition and evenly tensioned.
When moving the exhaust system from side to side, make sure that it does not touch the car body. Otherwise, replace its rubber suspensions.
