Cars without "Longlife-Service"

After the inscription appears on the instrument cluster indicator "SERVISE INSP", it is necessary to carry out maintenance of the car. In this case, it is necessary to perform routine maintenance work specified for 12 months or 15,000 km, if the car's mileage during the year is more than 15,000 km marked with a sign, as well as work when the car's mileage is 30,000 km marked with signs.

Engine


  • Engine/engine compartment: check for leaks by visual inspection.

  • TDI engine up to part number 4BYN 002 887: remove water from fuel filter.

  • 2.5-I-TDI engine: visually check the condition of the toothed belt, replace if necessary.
  • 2.5-I-TDI engine: check the tension and condition of the fuel pump drive toothed belt, adjust or replace if necessary.
  • Diesel engine except engines with pump/nozzle: Replace the fuel filter.




Gearbox/ final drive


  • Gearbox, final drive: visually inspect for leaks and damage.
  • Manual transmission: check the oil level, top up if necessary.

Front suspension and steering


  • Tie rod ends: check for play, as well as the reliability of their fastening and the condition of the protective covers.
  • Hinges: check the condition of the protective covers,
  • Steering: check the condition of the bellows.

Body/interior trim


  • Door latch and lock cylinder: lubricate.
  • Anti-corrosion protection of the bottom: check.
  • Seat belts: visually inspect for damage.
  • Seat belts: visually inspect for damage.
  • Ventilation/heating: replace pollen filter.

Brakes/tires/wheels


  • Brake system: check pipes, hoses, brake cylinders and connections for leaks and damage.
  • Brake fluid: check level, top up if necessary.

  • Cars with Telematics system (automatic alarm system): replace the battery.

Every 60,000 km


  • Spark plugs: replace.
  • Engine: replace air filter, clean filter housing.
  • Diesel engine pump/injector: replace fuel filter.
  • Power steering: check fluid level, top up if necessary.
  • Automatic transmission: check the oil level, top up if necessary.
  • Multitronic gearbox: replace ATF.
  • 2.5-l-TDI engine up to engine number 154 591 AFB and 031 889 AKN: check crankcase pressure.

Every 90,000 km


  • Engine 1.9-I-TDI 110 hp up to number 4BYN 002 887: check the condition of the toothed belt and tensioner mechanism,
  • Engine 1.9-I-TDI 110 hp with number 4 BYN 002 888: replace toothed belt,
  • Engine 1.9-I-TDI 115/130 hp: replace toothed belt and tensioner mechanism.

Every 120,000 km


  • Petrol engine: replace poly V-belts and V-belts.
  • 1.8-1150 hp: replace timing belt.
  • Petrol engine 2.4-/4.2-I replace the timing belt, f Petrol engine 2.7-I: replace the timing belt, tension mechanism, guide and tension rollers,
  • Petrol engine 2.8-I: replace the timing belt and tensioner mechanism.
  • 2.5-I-TDI engine: replace the timing belts for the camshafts and fuel pump.

Every 180,000 km


  • Petrol engine 1.8-I 125 hp: replace timing belt.
  • Petrol engine 2.0-I: replace timing belt.
