Self-adjusting drum brakes
Drum brakes do not need to be adjusted. Of course, it works differently here than with disc brakes - mechanical adjustment. The push rod between the brake shoes must be lengthened according to the wear of the linings so that the linings are in contact with the drum. This is achieved by a spring-loaded key that gradually presses the wear pads against the bar.
