Removal



1. Remove the rear wheel.

2. Remove the cap from the center of the brake drum.

4. Unscrew the hub mounting nut, remove the washer and outer bearing.

5. Remove the brake drum. If the brake shoes prevent the brake drum from being removed, perform the following operations.

7. Using a screwdriver, lift the wedge (arrow) to release the shoes from the drum.

Inspection



Clean the brake drum and inspect it for damage or wear. Measure the inside diameter of the drum at several points. Repair or replace the brake drum if necessary.



Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
