Warning: On models with ABS, disconnect the battery before starting work to prevent air from entering the ABS module.
Withdrawal
1. Remove the brake fluid reservoir cap.
2. Disconnect the clutch master cylinder hose and ABS module hose (if it is needed) and drain the brake fluid.
3. Disconnect the brake fluid level sensor connector.
4. Disconnect the brake pipes from the master brake cylinder.
5. Unscrew the two fixing nuts and remove the cylinder.
Repair
1. If the brake master cylinder is faulty, it must be replaced. The only item to be replaced are the brake fluid reservoir bushings.
2. Check that the seal (A) was correctly installed in the tube and protruded from the back side by about 1 mm (measurement "A").
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
