Warning: On models with ABS, disconnect the battery before starting work to prevent air from entering the ABS module.


Removal



1. Remove the brake fluid reservoir cap.

2. Disconnect the clutch master cylinder hose and the ABS module hose (if necessary) and drain the brake fluid.

3. Disconnect the brake fluid level sensor connector.

4. Disconnect the brake pipes from the master cylinder.

5. Unscrew the two mounting nuts and remove the cylinder.

Repair



1. If the master cylinder is faulty, it must be replaced. The only component that needs to be replaced is the brake fluid reservoir bushings.

2. Check that the seal (A) is correctly positioned in the tube and protrudes from the back by approximately 1 mm (measurement "a").

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
