Examination



1. Press the brake pedal several times and start the engine. The pedal should drop slightly. Let the engine run for a few minutes and turn it off. Press the brake pedal, it should have normal rigidity. After several presses, the pedal should become significantly harder.

2. If the vacuum booster does not operate as described above, check the vacuum valve and, if necessary, the vacuum pump.

3. If the vacuum valve and pump are OK, replace the vacuum booster.

Removal



1. Remove the brake master cylinder.

2. Disconnect the vacuum hose.

3. Disconnect the vacuum booster pushrod from the brake pedal.

4. Unscrew the mounting nuts and remove the vacuum booster.

Installation



Installation


1. Before installation, check that the distance from the center of the hole in the pusher fork to the surface of the amplifier is 230±0.5 mm ("a"). Tighten the pusher fork if necessary.

2. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
