Replacement



1. Remove the brake drum.

2. Clean the brake mechanism from asbestos dust (see fig. Elements of the rear drum brake).

3. Inspect the brake pads and measure the thickness of the friction material. To replace the brake pads, mark the installation position of the pads and springs.

4. Remove the caps and pressure springs.

5. Remove the brake shoe pressure spring pins.

6. Remove the lower return spring.

7. Remove the brake pads. Place the rubber band (arrow) on the wheel cylinder to secure the pistons.

8. Mark the installation position of all springs (arrows) and remove them.

9. Installation of brake pads is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
