Front brake linings (Audi A6 C4)

Warning: Always replace brake pads on both wheels at the same time.

Replacement

1. Raise the car and place it on supports. Remove the front wheels.





2. Disconnect the wear sensor connector and remove it from the mount.



3. Remove the retaining spring of the pads.



4. Remove the caps from the caliper pins.







5. Remove the pins and remove the caliper.



6. Remove the pads.



7. Measure the thickness of the friction material and replace the linings if necessary.





8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Check the correct installation of the caliper and insert the pins.
