Measuring the brake lining on the front wheel brakes:
- 1 - lining material;
- 2 - carrier plate made of metal.
Order of execution
1. The minimum pad thickness is 7mm including the carrier plate. The carrier plate itself - the metal part on which the overlay is glued - has a thickness of about 5 mm, while the material of the direct overlay must have a minimum thickness of 2 mm.
2. During a cursory inspection with the wheel cap removed, shine a lamp into the hole in the rim and evaluate the thickness of the lining.
3. More precise control when the wheel is removed.
4. Place a ruler on the pad and measure, don't forget the brake pad on the inside!
