The disc brakes are constantly cooled by the oncoming air flow. With the 2.8-liter six-cylinder engine, the front disc brakes are additionally cooled: large recesses are located around the perimeter of the brake disc, which throw off air and thus increase cooling.
Disc brakes in wet weather
During prolonged rain, uncovered brake discs are intensively watered, so the braking effect appears with a delay of a split second. The moisture between the brake discs and linings must first evaporate. In winter, this phenomenon occurs with particular force, since the layer of salt that has settled on the brake discs and linings must first be erased during braking.
