Replacing brake fluid (Audi A4 B5)

Brake fluid needs to be changed not only because of the above-mentioned danger of steam bubbles, but also because of the danger of corrosion developing in the brake cylinders and pipes due to water absorbed by the brake fluid.

Execution order

1. If possible, suck out the brake fluid from the expansion tank using an injection syringe and immediately fill it with new fluid.

2. Bleed the brake fluid until fresh fluid comes out of the bleed valve.

3. Bleed 500 cc of brake fluid through each bleed valve. This will fill the entire system with fresh brake fluid.

4. The prescribed sequence is: back right, back left, front right and finally front left.
