Changing the brake fluid is necessary not only because of the already mentioned danger of air bubbles, but also because of the danger of corrosion in the brake cylinders and pipes due to moisture absorption. When changing the brake fluid, you need to act in the same way as when bleeding (described later in this chapter). You will need 2 liters of new brake fluid.
If possible, empty the brake fluid reservoir using an old medical syringe and refill it immediately.
Bleed the brake fluid until fresh fluid appears from the bleed valve.
To do this, pump 500 cm³ of brake fluid through each valve. In this case, every drop will be guaranteed to be replaced.
Replacement sequence: rear right, rear left, front right, front left.
