If the wheels are removed to check the condition of the pads, then the condition of the brake discs should also be checked at the same time.
Discs should not have any deep grooves (resulting from exposure to dirt or badly worn pads). Otherwise, these grooves will cut deep into the new brake pads, which will significantly reduce their service life and, in addition, reduce the braking effect.
Groove-damaged brake discs can be turned on a lathe, provided they have not thinned down to the minimum size as a result of long service life (see table below).
Discs that are too thin must be replaced in pairs.
The bluish tint of the brake discs does not matter.
