Poly V-belt — checking condition (petrol engines) (Audi A2)

Raise the car. Using a socket wrench, turn the engine by the damper/belt pulley "arrow".



Check the poly V-belt "1", from below for: cracks in the base (scratches, core fractures, transverse fractures), delamination (surface layer, cords), chipped base, frayed cords, lateral wear (damage to material, frayed edges, hardened (glassy edges, cracks on the surface), traces of oil and grease.

Instructions. If any defects are found, the poly V-belt must be replaced immediately. This will prevent the belt from failing and, accordingly, causing malfunctions.
