Brake fluid should be replaced every 2 years, preferably in the spring.
In workshops, a device for filling and bleeding the brake system is used to replace brake fluid. The amount is 250 cm³ for each master cylinder bleed valve and 500 cm³ for the wheel cylinder bleed valve.
Observe safety precautions when working with brake fluid.
Observe the sequence of opening the bleed valves.
Using a suction device, suck out the brake fluid from the reservoir to a level of approximately 10 mm.
Caution: Do not empty the expansion tank completely to prevent air from entering the system.
Fill the reservoir with new brake fluid up to the MAX mark.
Place a clean hose on the first bleed valve and place a suitable container underneath.
Open the valve and press the brake pedal 10 times, thereby releasing the old brake fluid.
Close the valve and fill the expansion tank with new brake fluid.
Bleed the old brake fluid from the remaining valves in the same manner.
Note: The liquid released must be clear and free of bubbles.
Do not drain old brake fluid into the drain.
