Loosen the right front wheel bolts and turn on parking brake, then raise and support the front of the vehicle on stands. Remove the right front wheel.

Measure the thickness of the brake pad with a caliper (pic. 2–25).
Minimum allowable thickness A brake pad together with the carrier plate is 7 mm.
If the brake pad is worn to the minimum thickness, all four brake pads as a set must be replaced.
Install wheels and lower vehicle.
It has been established that with a run of 1000 km, the wear of the brake pad is on average 1 mm.

Check the thickness of the brake pad through the holes in the wheel disc without removing the wheel (pic. 2–26).
