First, check the air ducts for leaks! All hoses from the thick air intake hose to the thin vacuum hoses must be checked.
Are the injection nozzle seals and inlet port flange gaskets OK?
Leaky places open access to unaccounted for air, that is, air that is not taken into account by the system and therefore significantly interferes with the preparation of the mixture. The mixture leans uncontrollably. The consequence of this is a malfunction in the engine, manifested primarily in uneven idling.
Warm up the engine to operating temperature, then leave it to idle, open the hood, disconnect the plug connection to the lambda probe.
Spray with a spray bottle containing starting fuel (For example, «Startpilot»), inlet port gaskets, and other suspicious parts.
If the rotational speed changes when spraying a certain place, then there is a leak.
Can leaks in fuel lines be recognized?
Have the wire lugs been repeatedly disconnected and reconnected? Corrosion or tampering may result in poor contact.
Carefully examine the plugs of the individual components of the injection system. They should only be sprayed on with contact spray and should never be bent, which could cause problems.
