To determine the location of an oil leak, follow these steps:
- Clean the gearbox housing.
- Cover potential leaks with a thin layer of chalk or talc.
- Take a test drive for about 30 kilometers.
- Raise the car on a lift or over a viewing hole and determine the location of the oil leak by looking at the oil leaks.
Repair the leak and add oil to the gearbox.
The oil in the manual transmission does not need to be changed during the entire period of operation.
