If possible, lift the Audi-100 and secure it horizontally (on supports!) or drive onto an overpass.
Remove the lower engine compartment protection, see the chapter on the body.
Place a container under the oil pan
Open the oil drain plug with a ring spanner. Let the oil drain. Be careful, it is hot!
If you have lifted the car only at the front, then to completely drain the used oil you need to lower the car again. Make sure that the container with the used oil is not damaged or overturned.
Place a container underneath to collect the used oil.
Unscrew the oil filter with a clamp wrench. If the filter is very tightly seated, pierce the filter wall with a screwdriver (be careful, hot oil is leaking out) and scroll through the filter.
Lightly lubricate the sealing ring on the new oil filter with plastic grease. Do not use oil for this, as it can easily be mistaken for leaking oil during visual inspection.
Tighten the oil filter by hand without using any tools.
Wipe the oil filler plug clean and screw it in with a new sealing ring, being careful not to damage the guide threads in the oil pan.
Pour in oil (see table).
Start the engine, check for oil leaks.
