Oil change is performed every 15,000 km or once a year for low mileage.

Under severe operating conditions such as short distance travel, frequent cold starts and driving on very dusty roads, the oil and filter should be changed more frequently.

Caution: Never pour out used oil or dispose of it with normal household waste.

Drain

Warm up the engine (oil temperature +60°C).

Note: The oil can also be sucked out using a probe through the opening for the oil level indicator.

Raise the car horizontally. Remove the lower engine compartment protection. Place a container underneath to collect the old oil.

Remove the oil drain plug and drain all the old oil

Tighten the plug with a new gasket firmly, without applying excessive force.

Tightening force for 4 - cylinder engine: 30 Nm, 5 - cylinder – 40 Nm.

Install the lower engine compartment protection.

Lower the car.

Remove the oil filter. In workshops, a special tool is used for this. You can also use a contact belt. You can also stick a pointed screwdriver into the side of the oil filter. In any case, when unscrewing, oil flows out; place a container underneath.

Filling

When installing, follow the instructions on the oil filter.

Clean the oil filter flange with gasoline.

Lightly lubricate the rubber seal on the oil filter.

Screw on the new filter by hand.

Fill with new oil through the filler neck in the cylinder head cover.

The difference between the Min and Max marks on the oil level indicator is 1 liter.

After a test drive, check the drain plug and oil filter for leaks and tighten if necessary.

When changing oil, always use the same type and, if possible, the same brand of oil. Therefore, it is advisable to attach a plate with oil parameters to the engine.

The use of oils of different types is not recommended. Also, if possible, mixing oils of the same type but different brands should be avoided. Motor oils of the same type and brand can be mixed without subsequent topping up, if necessary.
