Bolts and nuts must be used clean and lightly oiled. Always inspect the surface of nuts and bolts for serviceability and eliminate any defects. In doubtful cases, use new threaded bolts and nuts.
Once loosened, self-protecting nuts should always be renewed.
Under no circumstances should grease be removed from nuts and bolts.
All sealing washers, gaskets, retaining plates, cotter pins and O-rings (o-ring of circular cross-section) must be replaced during assembly. The seals are also replaced if they were removed from the shaft. It is necessary to ensure that during installation the working cover is directed in the direction from which oil or grease can flow.
Attention! All work on the vehicle, in particular with the brake system and steering, must be carried out carefully and prudently. The vehicle's safe movement must be ensured after any repair.
Working conditions and tools
Repair work must be carried out in a clean, well-lit place. The size of the repair area must be sufficient to disassemble and lay out parts. In a well-lit workshop, work is done without fatigue and haste, the car is disassembled and assembled in a neat environment. Unfortunately, not everyone has such an ideal workplace, so you have to improvise.
In addition, it is necessary to have a complete and high-quality set of tools. The indispensable requirement here is quality, since a cheap tool can be very expensive, because it jumps off and destroys expensive parts. A good tool is offered by the company HAZET.
