Inspection, removal, installation and repair must be performed by a qualified mechanic only.
Before carrying out repair work, identify the fault using the self-diagnosis system.
Use only original spare parts for repairs.
Remove spare parts from packaging immediately before installation.
Use only lint-free cloths to wipe parts.
Before disconnecting the brake system components, thoroughly clean the disconnection point and the surrounding area. Do not use aggressive liquids (for example, gasoline).
Brake fluid should not come into contact with mineral oils. Even a small amount of mineral oil will spoil the brake fluid and cause the brake system to fail.
After repairing the hydraulic brake drive, bleed the air from it.
When brake pads are in operation, dust is generated that contains asbestos, which is harmful to health, so when cleaning brake pads, do not use compressed air or inhale dust.
After installation, new brake pads must be worked in. Try to avoid sharp braking for the first 200 km.
Corroded brake discs cause a vibration effect during braking, which does not disappear during prolonged braking. In this case, the brake discs must be replaced.
The brake fluid used in the hydraulic drive is poisonous, so if it gets on your skin, rinse the area thoroughly with water. If the fluid accidentally gets into your eyes or inside your body, you should immediately consult a doctor. Flammable liquids can ignite even from contact with hot vehicle components. Brake fluid dissolves paint and plastic, so if the fluid gets on your vehicle's paintwork, rinse it with plenty of water. Brake fluid is hygroscopic (absorbs moisture from the air), therefore it cannot be stored in an open container.
When the hydraulic brake system is open, do not use compressed air or move the vehicle.
When painting and drying the vehicle, the electronic control device can be heated briefly to a temperature of 95°C; when heated for 2 hours, the temperature should not exceed 85°C.
Note: When installing, it is necessary to use a new sleeve 5 (see Fig. 15 –2).
Before installing the bushing, apply lubricating paste G 000 650 to the hole in the steering knuckle. Installation is carried out by simply pressing it into steering knuckle.
