According to its purpose and functions, the braking system is divided into working, spare, parking and emergency. The working braking system ensures the necessary efficiency of speed control and stopping of the vehicle. The spare system serves to stop the vehicle when the working braking system fails. The parking system serves to hold the vehicle motionless on the road. It is mainly used to hold a parked vehicle, but can also be used as an emergency system when the working braking system fails.

The vehicle uses a hydraulically driven service brake system with diagonally split circuits, which significantly increases the safety of driving the vehicle. If one of the circuits fails, the second circuit is used as a backup brake system, ensuring that the vehicle stops with sufficient efficiency.

The car uses ventilated disc brakes on the front wheels and ventilated or solid disc brakes on the rear wheels.

The hydraulic brake drive is equipped with a brake booster.

The brake fluid reservoir, located in the engine compartment above the master cylinder, supplies the brake system and clutch with brake fluid. The brake booster reduces the force on the brake pedal, making it easier to control the car.

Parking brake acts on the rear wheels via a cable drive.
