To avoid injury to people and malfunction of the fuel injection and pre-heating system, it is necessary to take into account that the terminals of the wires of the pre-heating and fuel injection system, as well as the control and measuring devices, should be connected and disconnected only with the ignition off. If it is necessary to crank the engine at the starting speed, but not to start it, for example, when checking the compression, then the plug connector of the pump injector on the cylinder head should be disconnected.

Before disconnecting the battery terminals, it is necessary to find out the codes of the radio devices coded in case of theft. Disconnecting and connecting the battery terminals should only be done with the ignition off, since otherwise the control unit of the direct diesel fuel injection system can be damaged. During some checks, the control unit can recognize an error and save it in memory. Therefore, after completing all checks and repair work, it is necessary to interrogate the fault memory and delete any error data that may have been saved in it.
