Heating the passenger compartment: general recommendations (Audi 100 C3)

To ensure normal operation of the heating and ventilation systems, make sure that the air intake cavities located in front of the windshield are not covered with snow, leaves or ice.

The air blower fan should operate at low speed.

To prevent polluted outside air from entering the passenger compartment, set switch 1 to position - 0. At the same time, keep in mind that long-term blocking of air access causes fogging of the windows, which should be avoided.

The intensity of the cabin heating depends on the temperature of the coolant. This means that the maximum temperature can only be achieved with a well-warmed engine.

Rotary controls 2 and 3 can be set to any intermediate position.

Used air is blown out of the passenger compartment through the ventilation slots located in the center in front of the rear window. Make sure that they are not covered by the objects being transported.
