Starting a cold engine
The carburetor has a starting device that must be turned on when the engine is cold.
starting thrust (damper) has 4 positions.
It is located to the left of the steering column (see photo).
Starting when the outside temperature is below 0°C
Turn on the ignition. Fully pull the starter rod, while the control lamp should light up.
Turn on the starter without pressing the gas pedal. If the engine does not start within 10 seconds, repeat the start after half a minute. After the engine starts, wait a few seconds and move the starting rod to position 3.
As the engine warms up, gradually return the starting rod to its original position.
Starting when the outside temperature is above 0°C
Start the engine as if the temperature is below 0°C.
As soon as the engine starts, immediately move the starting rod to position 2.
Warning: The engine with the starter engaged should run as little as possible. Long work with the included starter (control lamp is on) lead to increased fuel consumption and is harmful to the engine.
Starting a warm engine
When starting, the starting rod is not pulled out.
If the engine does not run smoothly, press the gas pedal several times.
Starting a hot engine
Fully depress the gas pedal. Before starting, keep the gas pedal depressed, do not pull out the starting rod. Turn on the starter.
After the engine starts, release the gas pedal.
