Front oil seal
1. Remove the camshaft drive belt and crankshaft gear (cm. pp. 1–10 of subsection 3.1.2.9).
2. Unscrew the bolts securing the holder 6 of the stuffing box (see fig. Crankshaft and cylinder block). Remove the gland holder and gasket 7.
3. Remove the old oil seal 5 from the holder.
4. Press in a new oil seal, after lubricating it with engine oil.
5. Install the gland holder in place, replacing the gasket.
6. Tighten bolts evenly diagonally to 20 Nm (2.0 kgf·m).
7. Install the crankshaft gear and camshaft drive belt.
Rear oil seal
1. Remove flywheel (cm. pp. 1–2 subsections 3.1.2.11).
2. Remove the rear oil seal retainer with oil seal and gasket
3. Remove the old oil seal from the holder and clean the place of its landing.
4. Press in a new oil seal, after lubricating it with engine oil.
5. Install the gland holder in place, replacing the gasket.
6. Tighten bolts evenly diagonally and tighten to 10 Nm (1.0 kgf·m).
7. Install flywheel.
