Front oil seal
1. Remove the camshaft drive belt and crankshaft sprocket (see pp. 1–10 of subsection 3.1.2.9).
2. Unscrew the bolts securing the holder 6 of the oil seal (see Fig. Crankshaft and cylinder block). Remove the oil seal holder and gasket 7.
3. Remove the old seal 5 from the holder.
4. Press in a new seal, after lubricating it with engine oil.
5. Install the seal retainer back into place, replacing the gasket.
6. Tighten the bolts evenly diagonally to a torque of 20 N·m (2.0 kgf·m).
7. Install the crankshaft timing gear and camshaft drive belt.
Rear oil seal
1. Remove the flywheel (see pp. 1–2 of subsection 3.1.2.11).
2. Remove the rear oil seal holder with the oil seal and gasket
3. Remove the old seal from the holder and clean the area where it is installed.
4. Press in a new seal, after lubricating it with engine oil.
5. Install the seal retainer back into place, replacing the gasket.
6. Tighten the bolts evenly diagonally and tighten to a torque of 10 Nm (1.0 kgf·m).
7. Install the flywheel.
