Checking the condition of the working surfaces of the brake disc
1. Raise the front of the car and remove the wheel (cm. subsection 10.4).
2. Clean the brake disc.
3. Measure the disc thickness with a caliper. The minimum allowable disc thickness is specified in Specifications. If the thickness of the disc is less than acceptable, then the disc must be replaced.
4. If there are scratches, the disc can be removed and polished, but taking into account that its final thickness is not less than acceptable. It is recommended to replace the brake discs on both sides. The end runout of the working surface of the disc should be no more than 0.06 mm.
Warning: Check the condition of the working surfaces of the brake disc without removing the disc from the vehicle. Removal and installation
