Although the gearbox is filled with long life oil, oil leaks can still occur, which can be identified by oiling the outside of the gearbox housing. In this case, you need to check the oil level.
Raise and support the vehicle. To obtain correct test results, it must be horizontal.
Unscrew the filling plug on the right side of the gearbox with a hex wrench. The plug is next to the drive shaft. If, after unscrewing, oil immediately begins to flow out, then its level is normal, if not, add oil. In doing so, pay attention to the following;
Only synthetic oil SAE70W90 can be added to the gearbox. Filling with a funnel and hose takes a long time. It will be better to use a special bottle for filling with a hose or a plastic bottle with a stopper with a hose adapter. Pour oil into the bottle and, pressing the bottle, fill the gearbox oil.
If you need to change the oil in the gearbox, then the drain plug at the bottom of the gearbox is used for this, which also needs to be unscrewed with a hex wrench. The gearbox must be warm so that the oil flows out faster. Fill with oil through the oil level hole until the correct level is reached. Tighten the plugs with a torque of 30 Nm, cleaning them well before installing.
