- maximum lateral clearance between the piston ring and the groove on the piston 0.1 mm;
- nominal gap in piston ring lock 0.25–0.5 mm;
- maximum lateral clearance between the connecting rod head and the crankshaft cheek 0.4 mm;
- the crankshaft thrust rings are installed on the main bearing No.4, counting from the camshaft drive;
- the axial clearance of the crankshaft is measured on the main bearing No.3;
- the installation depth of the gearbox primary shaft bearing from the edge of the hole is 5.5 mm.
Crankshaft and connecting rod-piston group (Audi 100 C3)
The connecting rod and piston group and the crankshaft are disassembled and installed in the same order as on a four-cylinder engine (see subsection 3.1.2.15, subsection 3.1.2.16, subsection 3.1.2.17, subsection 3.1.2.18). It should be noted that the following parameters of a five-cylinder engine differ from those of a four-cylinder engine:
