Order of execution
1. Remove alternator drive belt 1.
2. Using a special tool, block the crankshaft from turning and loosen the bolt securing the vibration damper 2 to the crankshaft.
3. Remove the top cover 4. Install the piston of the 1st cylinder in TDC. (cm. pp. 3–4 subsections 3.2.2). Loosen the water pump mounting bolts and rotate the pump to the block, thereby loosening the tension of the camshaft drive belt 5. Remove belt 5 from wheel 6. Remove camshaft gear 6 by unscrewing its fastening bolt
4. Remove the lower cover 3 of the camshaft drive by unscrewing the mounting bolts.
5. Unscrew the mounting bolt of the vibration damper and remove the vibration damper 2 with the gear wheel 11 of the crankshaft and the belt 5.
6. Assemble the camshaft drive in reverse order. Before installing, apply sealant to the threaded part of the vibration damper mounting bolt and the crankshaft gear. Tighten the bolt to 350 Nm (35 kgf·m). Adjust the tension of the camshaft drive belt (cm. pp. 1–3 subsections 3.2.2.2).
