Table of contents: Oil pump ↓ Oil filter ↓ Motor oil ↓
All engine models have a pressure lubrication system.

Under vacuum, oil is sucked through the mesh filter of the oil receiver from the oil sump and is pumped by the internal gear oil pump installed on the nose of the crankshaft into the oil filter. Cleaned oil is supplied to the main bearings of the crankshaft, to the connecting rod bearings and through channels in the cylinder head - to the camshaft bearings. In the engines of the "KU" and "NF" models, oil under pressure enters the hydraulic valve tappets, providing automatic compensation of the working clearances of the valves.

Oil pump

The gear-type oil pump with internal gears is driven directly by two projections on the crankshaft. A pressure-reducing valve is installed on the right side of the oil pump cover, which is also the holder of the front crankshaft seal.

Oil pressure in the system at oil temperature of 80°C, kg/cm²:
  • at idle: 0.15-0.45;
  • at crankshaft speed of 2000 rpm: 2.0 (at a lower value, the oil pressure indicator lamp in the instrument cluster lights up).

Pressure reducing valve response pressure, kg/cm²: 5.3-6.3.

Oil filter

The oil filter with a replaceable filter element is connected in series with the main oil line of the engine.

Brand and type of oil filter element: Mann W 719/5 or Purflux LS 115.

Motor oil

Lubrication system capacity, l: 4.5 (including 0.5 l in the oil filter).

Oil used: SAE 5W20, 10W40 or 15W50.

Oil change frequency: every 15,000 km.
