Table of contents: Oil pump ↓ Pressure reducing valve ↓ Oil filter ↓ Oil pressure sensor ↓ Motor oil ↓
The lubrication system operates under pressure. Under the action of vacuum, oil is pumped from the engine oil sump through the mesh filter of the oil receiver into the oil filter by a gear-type oil pump with internal engagement and an eccentric pinion, the drive of which is carried out directly from the crankshaft. The oil filter is connected in series with the main oil line of the engine. It has a bypass valve that allows uncleaned oil to pass into the oil line when the filter element is clogged. In this case, oil is supplied under pressure to the main bearings of the crankshaft and to the connecting rod bearings through the channels of the cylinder head to the supports of the camshaft. The oil pan is stamped from a steel sheet. Crankcase ventilation is provided by removing crankcase gases from the cylinder block to the air filter.

Oil pump

The oil pump is gear-type and driven directly from the crankshaft nose, which has flats. Oil is forced into the oil line by rotating gears between the teeth and the walls of the oil pump housing on both sides of the eccentric drive gear.

Lateral clearance between gear teeth, mm: 0-0.13.

The gap between the ends of the gears and the plane of the pump body, mm: 0.03-0.06.

Pressure reducing valve

The pressure reducing valve is located in the oil pump housing.

Minimum oil pressure in the lubrication system, kg/cm²: 2.

Oil pressure at crankshaft speed of 2000 rpm and oil temperature of 80°C, kg/cm²: 4-8.

Oil filter

Oil filter with cardboard replaceable filter element. Oil filter housing capacity, l: 0.5.

Oil pressure sensor

The oil pressure sensor is located on the cylinder block on the side of the ignition distributor sensor and is triggered at an oil pressure of 0.15-0.45 kg/cm².

Brand: Bosch.

Motor oil

Lubrication system capacity, l: 3.5 (including 0.5 l in the oil filter).

Used oil according to SAE 15W40, 20W40; by API SE.

Oil change frequency: every 15,000 km with replacement of the oil filter.
