Table of contents: Thermostat ↓ Radiator ↓ Expansion tank ↓ Electric fan ↓ Water pump ↓ Coolant ↓
The engine uses a liquid cooling system with forced circulation. The cooling system includes a water jacket of the engine, a radiator, an expansion tank, a centrifugal water pump, a thermostat and an electric fan.

Thermostat

The thermostat is located in a branch housing installed at the rear of the cylinder head.
  • Main valve opening start temperature,°C: 87.
  • Full opening temperature of the main valve,°C: 102.

Main valve piston stroke at 102°C, not less than, mm: 8.

Thermostat brand: Behr-Thomeon.

Radiator

The radiator is installed in the front part of the car. The radiator is plate-type, aluminum, with plastic tanks.

Expansion tank

The expansion tank cap contains a low-pressure air valve and a pressure-reducing valve.

Opening pressure of the pressure reducing valve, kg/cm²: 1.20-1.35.

Opening pressure of low pressure air valve, kg/cm² 0.06-0.10.

Electric fan

The electric fan has a plastic four-blade impeller mounted on the electric motor shaft, which is switched on and off by the electric fan switch located on the left radiator tank. Electric fan brand: AEO-C76 A 2585 348.

Fan motor power, W: 100.
  • Fan motor switch-on temperature,°C: 92-97. Fan motor switch-off temperature,°C: 85-90.

Water pump

The centrifugal water pump is installed in the front part of the cylinder block on the right and is driven by a toothed belt of the camshaft drive. The tension of the toothed belt is adjusted by turning the pump body on the eccentric base. The belt tension is considered normal if in the middle part of the branch between the toothed pulleys of the crankshaft and camshaft the belt is twisted no more than 90° by the force of the thumb and index finger.

Coolant

Capacity of engine cooling and cabin heating systems, l: 6.

The coolant used is a mixture of distilled water and G10 antifreeze in a ratio of 60% and 4C% (at temperatures down to -25°C).

Replacement frequency: every 22,500 km.
