Input shaft (013 and 093) — disassembly and assembly (Audi 100 C3)
The procedure for removing the front input shaft components is similar to the procedure for the 014 transmission described in Chapter 5. The rear end of the input shaft is longer to accommodate the 5th gear and the inner race of the rear bearing. To remove the ring, insert a clamp under it, and pull the input shaft out through the clamp. A long metal pipe is required to install the ring.
