Oil change intervals

Audi recommends changing the oil annually or every 15,000 km (gasoline engines) and 7,500 km (diesel engines), if the annual mileage significantly exceeds 15,000 km.

Necessary equipment

To change the oil you will need the following equipment:

A vessel for collecting old oil. An old canister with the side wall cut off will do.

The funnel makes it easy to pour in new oil.

The old oil canister is used to transport old oil to the disposal point.

There should be no shortage of engine oil. Oil should be purchased in 5-liter canisters, according to the above driving instructions.

It is necessary to use oil filter VAG No.056115561 G, Bosch 0451103033, Mann W719/5, Knecht AW29/9,1 Purolafor PC252.

Oil filter wrench.

New oil drain plug gasket.

Changing engine oil and oil filter

The oil is changed when the engine is warm.

The car should be lifted as horizontally as possible or driven onto a ramp. Place a suitable container under the oil pan.

Loosen the oil drain plug with a 19mm open-end wrench and drain the oil. Be careful as it is hot.

If the car is supported only at the front, it is necessary to drain the old oil again to drain it more completely. Be careful not to tip the draining vessel.

Loosen the oil filter (1) using a special key (2). If the filter is tightly tightened, you can pierce the filter housing with a screwdriver (be careful, hot oil will leak out) and unscrew the filter using a screwdriver.
