Removal and installation the motor to adjust the headlight angle (Audi 100 C4)

The headlight tilt adjustment motor can only be replaced with the headlight housing removed. It should be noted that after replacing this motor, the headlights must be adjusted. This can be done if a special device is available in the workshop.

Removing the headlight motor is quite simple. The left motor is removed by turning it in the direction shown by the arrows in the picture below, or to the left in the case of the right motor. This is the direction of rotation for a headlight without fog lights. If fog lights are installed, you need to do it differently. Fold the motor diagonally out of the reflector mount and pull it out from the rear.

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Secure the engine by rotating it in the opposite direction.
