The steering wheel angle sensor "G85" is installed between the steering wheel and the switch on the steering column. Set the wheels to the "straight ahead" position. Return ring with contact ring "1". Remove the Airbag module and steering wheel. Secured to the turn signal switch, low beam, high beam, and light signal switch. Secured to the return ring with contact ring.

Installation



Installation in reverse order. Install the Airbag module and steering wheel. Calibrate the steering wheel angle sensor "G85". Use the diagnostic complex "VAS 5051B" or "VAS 5052" for this.

Select on the display: Chassis - Brake system (rep. group 01; 45) - 01. Systems with self-diagnosis - 03. Electronics of the brake system with ABS/ESP.

Select the desired function on the display: "L 04" ABS ASR ESP control unit, functions; "G85" steering wheel angle sensor calibration.

Conduct a test of the chassis and the entire ESP system.
